Day the Earth Stood Still (1951) Colorized (Michael Rennie)

When a flying saucer lands on the mall in Washington, DC, the lone occupant (Michael Rennie) is shot by a jumpy soldier. The wounded alien escapes and moves in as a boarder with an Earth family (Patricia Neal, Hugh Marlowe, Billy Gray) in order to learn more about our planet.

Comes to life with colorization. I love it. Thank you for posting it.

Movie purists think it's bad taste to colorize an all-time classic like this - but I think its fun to have it colorized (the purists think "Klaatu barrata nikto" loses its dramatic elegance by being said in color?).

The colorized movie is a big kick to watch and the color, if not what Natalie Kalmus would have intended, makes it a better movie.

George, thank you for this fabulous colorization of a classic 1950s sci-fi movie. One of my all time favorite movies. This is by far the best colorization I have ever seen. Trust me, I am a huge movie buff. You did this movie justice with the bright colors. Usually the color red is washed out in this process, I commend you wholeheartedly George, thanks again.
